About Ernie Greenwood, President

1970 – Started a 13 year progression – which included becoming 1 of 7 shareholders in a successful private company. The challenges within the “private business arena” that he experienced, led him to explore other alternatives when he departed that company in 1983.

1983 – Present

Having incorporated the expertise of the financial - accounting and legal professions, he has worked with hundreds of successful private business owners – who were not aware of their options allowed under Canadian Law.

These alternatives included:

  • Reducing and/or eliminating the effects of permanent taxation on corporate profits
  • Accessing pre-tax profits corporately and personally more efficiently
  • Creditor protecting corporate and personal assets
  • Using internal financing structures – not external lending facilities
  • Protection of corporate and personal assets
  • Preservation of corporate and personal assets to future generations

Ernie has a wealth of clients who have relied on his leadership in addressing the above challenges that private business owners face every day.

Ernie, and his wife Janice, have enjoyed a rewarding family life with 5 children. Business is not their only focal point. Their diverse interests in skiing – horseback riding – music – church, and especially the exploration of water life in the Bahamas has compelled them to incorporate a new name for their company after 25 years – CoralLife.

The strength and beauty of Coral can only be discovered “beneath the surface”. This is what Ernie and his associates provide their clients – an experience of exploring alternative structures that normally most business owners don’t see.
